                     Refresing strawberries is one of the most popular fruit through out the world.Either it is fresh or frozen everone love strawberry not only because of its colour,juicy and delicious taste but also for its nutritional health benefits.Strawberries are summer seasonal fruit.
                 Strawberries contains a lot of rich antioxidant properties which may even surprise people if they know about its nutritional facts.Nearly there are 600 varieties of strawberries available now a days.Strawberries are consumed in large quantities either its is fresh or it is preservative.We can make juices,milkshakes,icecreams,choclates etc long with strawberry,Even we can make pickles with strawberry which will be very delicious.Artificial strawberry flavours are also very polpular and used in many products such as medicines,lipgloss,candy etc,Small children loved to have strawberry syrups.

History:

               Strawberries have been enjoyed from roman time.Like many other fruit strawberries made his name in history and was enjoyed by royality.A french engineer seen strawberries are native to those region where it is largely cultivated so he bought a sample of strawberies to france during late  18th century where she cultivated it.At the end he got red,juicy and delicious fruit.By the 16 th century strawsberry became more common,They started using it in several medicines.In england by the mid of 16th century strawberries farming became more common.

                One strawberry contains 515 mg of vitamin C which is nearly half of the daily requirement.Vitamin C which is available in strawberry helps in boosting the immunity.It is very well known as immunity booster.

2.Heart disease:

                   The flavonoid which is present in strawberry is a anti-inflammatory which helps in reducing the cardiovascular problem.It helps in protecting against the damage caused LDL(low density lipoproteins)cholestrol.The fiber and potassium which is present also helps the heart.Consuming 4069 milligrams of potassium will lower the heart attack problem.The antioxidants anthocyanins helps in reducing the formation of blood cloths which is associated with stroke.

Disadvantages of strawberry:

  • Some people may experience allergy while consuming strawberry.They experience anaphylactoid reaction(Serious allergic reactin which may even cause death).
  • Although it contains number of essential nutrients and high level of vitamin C ,but the fruit contain very low amount of Vitamin A,E,D and K,
  • They also contains minimal amount of vitamin B with the exception of folate.
  • It also contains very protein which is very essential to build body and muscles.
  • Strawberry contains high sugar which may promote tooth decay.

                                   Strawberry plants can also develop infection during winter.When watering strawberry advice has been given to water only for roots not to leaves,Because moisture in leaves can develop more fungal infection.
