Apricot its benefits and disadvantages with nutritional values

Apricot:

           
            Do you guys know what apricot is and how it is used ? you don't know apricot.

           Let me introduce you a fruit.I am sure after knowing about apricot you will have it daily along with you food.

                      Apricot is a fleshy fruit with thin skin and a central stone contains a seed which is similar to small peach.Apricot will be yellow or orange colour.It will changes its colour slightly to red after exposing to sun.The surface of apricot will be smooth.The flesh inside of apricot will not be very juicy.The taste of apricot will be sweet to tart.The seed inside the fruit will be hard often called as stone.Apricot first orginated in Armenia in olden days.Apricot oil is also know as apricot kernel oil obtained by pressing kernel seeds.Traditional chinese medicine uses kernel oil in curing ulcers and tumours.

Apricot is a small tree whose is 8-12 meters.According to UN food and agricultural organization the top producers of apricot is Uzbekistan .Apricot is the one of the healthiest fruit through out the world.100 grams of apricot will contains 12% of vitamin C,12% of vitamin A and 6% of potassium which is required to our body.

                                             Chinese uses apricot in medicine and Education.Apricots are mainly used against tumours in 17th century.Apricots will be available in two form one is Dried and other is Raw.Dried apricots is a traditional dried fruit.Dried apricot loved by world wide where as raw apricots are used for cooking.Worlds largest producer of dried apricot is Turkey.Cyanogenic glycosides is available in high concentration in apricots.When the fruit is cultivated in mediterrian its true popularity came in to light.
                                            Countries such as Turkey,Spain,Italy,Russia,Greece,USA,France are largest producers of apricot.Apricots contains Antioxidants which will kill the free radicals that damage our cells.Apricots also contain Iron,Dietary fiber,Calcium etc.It is low fat food and high amount of sugar.Asthama is also used for cough,Asthama,Vaginal infection,Spasm etc.It contains proteins which helps to boost neural system as it is very nutritious food.Apricot essence can be used as askin tonner and moisturiser,It has a soothing smell and positive effect on the skin.Apricot is used in aroma theraphy as it contains pleasant smell.

The Advantages from Apricots: 

1.Improves digestion:


             Apricot is very essential fruit which helps in improving digestion.One of the main properties of apricots is that they boost your nervous system that's why they are highly beneficial for people with physical and mental fatigue, suffering from depression, insomnia or stress. They also improve your digestion, assist in detoxication of your body, have the ability to regenerate it and also maintain the acid-basic balance in the blood. 

2.Anemia:


             Apricots can be very helpful for people who suffer from anemia, renal lithiasis, biliary lithiasis, lack of vitamin A, pregnant women, elders, or teenagers. The apricot juice is widely used in cosmetics for toning up the skin. The potassium iron and magnesium present in apricot helps to maintain the tone of the blood vessels and increase the amount of hemoglobin in the blood and contribute to the improvement of blood.

3. Eye sight:


                   Another benefit of apricots is that they can fight against bacteria, infections and cancer. They have the ability to reconstruct tissues which have been damaged or are ill. They are beneficial for maintaining a good eyesight and improve the bone density. Apricots are often used as a natural laxative. 

4.Cancer :


             The core of the apricots contains essential Vitamin B12. Its main benefit is that it has the ability to destroy cancerous cells and may prevent the disease development. The core is also rich in proteins, fatty acids and contains forty-five percent oil. This oil is as useful and effective for your body as the almond oil.

           Apricot contains large amount of fiber which does not allow the cholestrol entering in to intestine with food which is not absorbed,and the amount of cholestrol which enters in to intestine will decreases which in term reduces the risk of developing atherosclerosis(Silent and slow block artherisis which put blood flow at risk which can cause heart attack,vascular disease etc.

  • Dried apricot contains sulphur dioxide .Organic ones doesnot contain sulphur dioxide.
  • Apricot seeds contains some dangerous substances i.e Hydrocyanide acid,amygdalin both are very dangerous to human as it is related to bones.
