Bananas and their Nutritional values

Bananas:

                Banana is a most popular and sweetest food with lots of calcium,minerals,Vitamin C,Vitamin B6,Fiber.Every one loves to have one banana per day whereas some fruits are more beneficial than other fruits among that banana is having more healthy benefits.So let us see what are the benefits and disadvantages of Banana.
                    Banana is used for various purposes.It is used to make smooties,cereals,making desserts etc.In some countries banana will be used as a breakfast.It is good kickstart of a day because it will provide instant energy
               Banana is a edible fruit which is produced by several kinds of herbeceous flowering plants.The scientific name of banana is Musa accuminata.The fruit is in different colour i.e Yellow,green,Red,and brown when ripe.The fruit grow in the top a plant.The fruits will differ in size and colour.The fruit is elongated and in curve shape.Inside of banana soft flesh will be there which is sweet in nature.Raw bananas are used for cooking purpose.They are grown in 135 contries.Banana cultivation is nearly 5000 BCE and possibly 8000 BCE back.Bananas are Most consuming fruit in the world,Consuming banana will improve digestion and reduce the asthama and cancer problems,It also lowers the blood pressure.Americans consume more banana than apples and oranges.Bananas which are used for cooking purpose are Green Bananas or Plantains.Ripe bananas can be eaten raw.Most famous receipie of raw banana is Banana chips.
                                  Bananas contain most important mineral which is potassium.Potassium produce electricity in body which contain sodium,chloride,calcium and magnesium.Patassium is crucial for heart fumctioning and also helps for smooth digestive system and muscular contraction.As it maintain fluid levels it regulates waste products in and out system of body cells smoothly.It also regulates the kidney stones formation.

How bananas are grown?


   Bananas do not grown from seed as it is perinnial plant(perinnial plant means a plant that live for long years).Bananas are grown in soils.The soil should be atleast 60 cm deep,it should have good drainage.Banana tree have 8-12 leaves in their stem,Each leaf having a length of 9 feet and width of 2feet.Banana is a herbaceous (Herbaceous plant is nothing but the plant that does not contain woody stem above ground)flowering plant.Banana plants are in different size depending on climatic conditions.Most are about 5cm.Bananas are first cultivated in southeast asian countries.Bananas harvesting and cultivation time is nearly 9-12 months.The flower will appear in 6-7 month.It will be available through out the year.Bananas are grown in 27 degrees temperature which are present  in tropical regions.Tempertaure will extremely slow down the growth of plant.Banana plant stops the growth when it reach 100 degree or below 53 degree.

How many bananas we can eat per day?

 
                          Bananas contains most important mineral is potassium.In every banana about 537 milligrams of potassium i.e 11 percent of RDA(Recommended dietary allowance).Adults can consume upto 3500mg of potassium per day(i.e six bananas per day).Sometimes too much good is bad for health.Potassium levels will be very high if you eat more than six bananas.If you eat seven bananas it may kill you as the potassium level will exceed in your body .If potassium level will be too high or too low,then it lead to irregular heart beat or stomach pain,diarrhea.Potassium will present in every cell.It helps to generate electrical charge which helps every cell function properly.Proper level of potassium in our body keeps heart funtion rate steady and blood flow properly.

     Banana will reduce one third of risk of cardivascular problem.Oxford university of china found that having one banana per day will reduce the heart problem risk,but the fruit which they consume should be fresh.If we make a smootie of apple or banana it will reduce the signifances of that fruit as it reduce the fiber and healthy elements of the fruit.Banana is dietary source of potassium and calcium.Banana contain 27% of potassium which will helps to lower the cardiovascular problem.

2.Digestion:

        Bananas used to improve digestion of a body.It contain potassium which regulates the fluid level and helps to in and out the waste products.It is sweet and sour in taste.Sweet will helps to bring the sense where as sour will helps to release the digestive gases and improve the digestion.

3.Weight loss and obesity:

      Banana is very useful fruit for weight loss or reducing obesity as it contain fibers which are soluble and insoluble.soluble fibers will slow down the digestion of human body.Banana are having very less fat.A person who is doing diet they can indulge banana in their diet so that he will not have too many calories per day.This will helps to reduce the over eating of food.Bananas is offenly used in breakfast so that there shouldnot be any worry about next meal.

4.Blood pressure:

            Banana contain very low salt and high potassium food.A person who is having blood pressure should cosume low salt either in fruits or foods.Banana will contain such properties which will lower the blood pressure.
      

5.Blood sugar will be stabilised:

                Bananas are having very source of nutrition.Bananas have very low sugar,It slow down the absorption of sugar in to our blood stream.This is very effective strategy to keep the blood sugar level stable.

6.Reduce the bad cholestrol level:

             Inatake of oily foods or chat items will increase the bad cholestrol level.Banana will helps to reduce the bad cholestrol level as it contain phytosterols.Phytosterols have the property of reducing the cholestrol levels present in our body.Banana contain potassium,vitamin B6 which is most important minerals for our healthy heart.We all know too much cholestrol is bad for health.These minerals will also reduce the bad cholestrol level.Every body will have cholestrol i.e two types one is bad cholestrol or LDL other is good cholestrol which is very important for our body which is used to make bile acids.Total cholestrol level needed to our body isless than  200mg/dl.

       Bananas are very helpful to battle with cancer disease.In india nearly 6 Lakh people die due to cancer disease.To eradicate such problem we needs to consume such antioxidant food which ability to fight cancer disease fighting properties.Banana is having such antioxidant properties.Antioxidant have anti tumour properties.
