Lychee its advantages and disadvantages

LYCHEE:

Who will not have a fruit which is juicy and fleshy which will be probably delighful to have it in desserts etc?
             Lychee fruits is a tall ever green tree.It is roughly textured red colour fruits from outside whereas inside it contains white and fleshy fruit.It is more cultivated more in china as well as in india.Lychees are used in several dishes mainly in desserts.Lychee fruits is cultivated in tropical region i.e in summer with high summer heat,rainfall,humidity.Lychee fruit contains many phytonutrients which is good for health.It also contains flavonids,polyphenols and proanthocyanidins.Lychees also contains vitamin C.It contain 119 % of vitamin per 100 grams lychee serving or 72 mg of vitamin C.This fruit contains more vitamin C content than oranges and lemons.

                                         Lychee fruit contain thin wings.The height of lychee tree is 15 meters and sometimes 20 meters.Lychee fruits will be mature in 82-112 days depending on the climate.Lychees are available freshly in Asian markets whereas it is available in all super markets now a days through out the world.Lychees can be stored in refrigerator but the taste of fruit will not change.When lychee is dried it will be called as Lychee nuts.
                                        In india 5 years old lychee tree produce 500 fruits whereas 20 years old is producing 2000 to 4000 fruits.Lychees have been used in many cultures for the treatment of cough,obesity,neurologic pain etc.
                                       Lychee fruit also have functional properties for the treatment of anti-cancer and anti-viral.According to medical research lychees helps in abdominal pain,tumours as well as swollen glands.In india lychee seeds are used extensively to make tea which helps in reducing stomach problems.It also contain potassium which helps in reducing heart stroke,thiamin,niacin,folate.
