How grapes are beneficial for health and their effects

Grapes:

                      It is well know fact that grapes are healthiest fruit with a lot of flavours.From toddlers to elders everyone loves to have grapes.
                     It is the most versatile fruit which can be used in several ways.It contains a lot of phyto-nutrients,Vitamins,Minerals etc.

                Grapes is a fruit and botanically it is known as a berry.A grapes are non climatic fruit.It occurs through out the year where everyone can enjoy the taste of grapes anytime through out the year.It is formed in the form of clusters(A group of similar things) of 15 to 200.Grapes can be used in wines,jam,jelly,juices,salads,milkshakes,raisins etc.Grapes will be in different colours i.e green,dark blue,yellow,pink,black etc.Grapes are known as "Queen of fruits".
                 According to food and agricultural organization 75,866 square kilometers in the world are covered with grapes.In 100 % of grapes 71% is used for wine production whereas 27% as fresh fruit and remaining 2% as a dried fruit i.e raisins.There are two types of grapes are available one is with seed and other is seedless.
                Grapes juice is one the best fruit juice we ever had.It is obtained by crushing and blending the grapes in to liquid.It is often sold in stores.If grapes are fermented for particular period then grape wine will be occured.Grapes also contains several  rich sources such as vitamin A,vitamin C,vitamin B6,folate.It also contains essential minerals such as potassium,calcium,iron,phosphorous,magnesium and selinium.The flavonoids which is present in grapes is a powerful antioxidant helps in reducing the damage caused by free radicals.The colour of grapes are due to presence of pholyphenolic pigments in them.
           According to world healthiest food dry raisins will not contains as many nutrients which fresh grapes will have.Dry raisins contains four times more sugar level because the dehydrating process will condenses the sugar and calories and removes the nutrients present in them.

Benefits of grapes:


1.Cancer:

                              Grapes are rich in pholyphenolic compound known as Resveratrol.Resveratrol is one of the most powerful antioxidant which will plays as a protective role against prostate cancer,breast cancer etc.Anthocyanins is another antioxidant which contains anti-cancer properties.It is mainly available in red grapes.Grapes not only helps in reducing the cancer but also helps in suppressing the cancer causing cells.Grapes contains pigments which helps in developing the immunity of the body.

2.Heart attack:

                             Resveratrol is powerful antioxidant which not only helps in reducing cancer but also helps in reducing the heart related problems by changing the molecular mechanism inside the blood.Grapes increases the nitric oxide level in the blood which will prevent the blood cloths.Grapes also contains the antioxidation properties which will helps in preventing the oxidation level of LDL cholestrol.Oxidation of LDL cholestrol will blocks the blood vessels which will result to coronary problem.

3.Blood pressure:

                  Grapes contains potassium which is very essential for maintaining the blood pressure.Low potassium lead in increase of sodium level which in term increasing the blood pressure.Higher blood pressure leads to heart related problem so it is neccesary to consume potassium rich foods.

4.Asthama:

                      Grapes contains the hich amount of hydrating power.High hydrating power will increase the mositure in lungs which will helps in reducing the asthama.

5.Diabetics:

                      Grapes contains several properties which helps in reducing diabetics.According to study a women who consumed more fruits i.e grapes and apples was significantly associated in reducing the type-2 diabetics.Whereas grape juice contains high sugar level so it is not recommended for diabetics patients.

6.Bone health:

                     Grapes contains Vitamin K which is essential which helps in keeping bones strong and preventing damage or fracture to the bones.Grapes contains large amount of iron,manganese,copper which are very essential nutrients in formation of bones.Manganese is extremely important element for bones as it functions total body i.e metabolism,collagen formation and nervous system functioning.Researchers also suggest that copper also keep bones strong.

Disadvantages of grapes:

     Grapes should be washed throughly as it contains lot of pesticides on the grape skin.Having large amount of grapes may lead to diarrhea.
